We sat down with Garth Larcen founder of Max's Positive Vibe Cafe, a restaurant that trains and employs people with disabilities. The videos below are two stories he shares about individuals from the program.
The first one is about a phone call he received from the mother of a recent graduate. Larcen discovers that the graduate is like a different person.
The second is an extraordinary story about a young man in a wheelchair who worked in the kitchen and was always early to work. One day his car catches on fire and what he did next demonstrates a dedication and commitment to a job opportunity that most people will never know.
Over 1300 people have graduated from the Positive Vibe program since it began in 2004.
Many thanks to Mr. Larcen for his time and all that work that he and his staff at Positive Vibe do for our community.
