Rich’s story is one dedicated to seeing people get the help they need when they need it.
He’s spent the last 30 years working in healthcare, most recently at Cumberland Children’s Hospital and then at HCA, as Director of Business Growth in Behavioral Health Services.
He joins us as Director of Strategic Engagement and in the short time he’s been here, he’s already helping pave the way for seeing more and more lives changed, and helping expand our vision for behavioral health care in the state of Virginia.
In his time directing business growth at hospitals, Rich realized that no matter how many hospital rooms he added, it could never meet the demand for people in crisis. And that, for many people, finding a way to engage them before they reach crisis might be the best way to help them.
We’re excited to have Rich on our team and look forward to hearing the stories of lives improved thanks to Rich’s passion and dedication in this field.
Rich has two daughters, 20 and 10, and celebrated 23 years of marriage with his wife, Barb, this September. When he’s not spending time with his family or volunteering on the NAMI board, you can find him fishing, taking charters to the Outer Banks, or gardening.
